Perform experiments just like those used by government agencies. Ten different tests of the air and water around us can be performed with the Environmental Student Test Lab that produce clear and visible results. Your students will be interested to know that their experiments duplicate those actually carried out by state and federal agencies. Five water tests look for dissolved oxygen, hardness, chloride, phosphate, and pH. The kit also gives you four air tests for suspended particles, smoke density, concentration of chemicals, and carbon dioxide. These tests are easy to do and produce clear, visible results. Many of the tests give or estimate quantitative results. The kit includes eight test chemicals, test equipment, two charts, and a reproducible laboratory manual. This kit is an excellent introduction to air and water evaluation. Grades 8-12.
