Ocean Science Kit

This exercise shows the physical and chemical factors of seawater and their influence upon ocean currents and productivity. Students will first experiment with the effects salt has on the properties of water such as its freezing point. They will continue to monitor the effects the salt has, and by using blue dye (included) students can observe how temperature effects movements or currents in the water. Scenarios are included for class discussion. Designed for six groups of four students each. Grades 5-9.
