These birthing simulators realistically simulate normal delivery in semi-recumbent and all fours positions, as well as vaginal breech and instrumental deliveries. Designed to improve training for maneuvers required to accurately manage shoulder dystocia. Annual drill training for the management of shoulder dystocia is recommended by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) in the U.S.A. Trainers teach these important skills: normal delivery, breech delivery, delivery on all fours, vacuum delivery, shoulder dystocia management, forceps delivery, and delivery of placenta. Birthing simulators incorporate a number of training enhancing features:
• Anatomically correct bony pelvis in the mother (modeled from CT scan)
• Silicone pelvic floor
• Baby is newborn size and weight, fully articulated, and features palpable suture lines and scapulae
• Musculature and stretchable perineum
This cost effective set includes Standard PROMPT Birthing Simulator (SB41595U) and Force Monitoring PROMPT Birthing Simulator (SB41593U)… it is the ideal package for training centers running simultaneous normal and difficult birthing stations in a workshop environment. Each simulator comes with 250 ml of lubricant, one birthing placenta, one birthing baby (standard or force monitoring), one birthing mother, one birthing abdomen and perineum, birthing perineal muscles, lower torso with removable base and straps, and carrying case.
