Space Sand™ is extremely similar to the soil on Mars in terms of properties. This unique sand is coated with a special nontoxic material that prevents the bonding of the H2O and silica sand molecules when sand and water is mixed. When you scoop it out of the water, it stays completely dry! Space Sand™ is even used in NASA Mars exploration classroom experiments. Informative header explains uses and outlines plenty of fun experiments. Includes 1/2 lb. each of blue, yellow, and red. Grades K-6.
