This hand-cranked generator creates static electricity. Set it on a lab table and simply crank to demonstrate static electricity. Try the electric whirl - watch the vanes spin around ever faster as more electricity is produced. Or the electric plume - colored streamers fly apart as each strand acquires the same electrical charge. The discharge wand draws out a spark over thin air.
