Scats of North America Wildlife
PRODUCT DETAILS
You would have to walk many miles and search across much of North America to assemble this collection of animal scats. The 14 specimens found here represent the insects (bee and caterpillar), amphibians (bullfrog), birds (swallow and turkey), bats, rodents (woodrat), rabbits (cottontail), cervids (deer and elk), and carnivores (raccoon, coyote, lynx, and mountain lion). Your students will quickly recognize the differences in scat forms among these groups of animals. Use independently or in conjunction with animal tracks studies to learn about the signs of our native wildlife. Each specimen has been freeze-dried and sealed within a 16" x 12" exhibit case. Grades 5-12.
