This carefully designed kit combines instruction and practice for a complete skills learning experience. Each skill to be learned is shown in actual practice, then animated to illustrate it step-by-step, and finally shown as practiced with the exact materials included in the kit. Students are able to work at their own pace and can practice as often as required to perfect each skill.
A complete tutoring kit using an instructional CD-ROM and skin simulator to learn the skills needed for wound closure. Designed for anybody who needs to learn the techniques of wound closure, the kit contains: a set of surgical instruments (needle holder, scalpel, dressing scissors, and forceps), simulated skin pad and jig for practice suturing, suture, and detailed techniques presented in Suture Tutor CD-ROM. Teaches wound closure by going back to the basics – assumes no prior knowledge or experience by users. Covers: handling instruments and sutures, making incisions, tying knots, interrupted sutures (simple, vertical mattress, and pulley sutures), and continuous subcuticular suture.
