Students will have fun while gaining practical, hands-on experience in first aid procedures! The classroom is divided into 10 first aid stations utilizing a casualty simulation kit (sold separately) to help set up the “victims.” Teams of two students travel to each station, quickly deal with the injury, and then answer three questions relating to the injury or the first aid procedure being performed. Each team receives a maximum of 10 points per station – seven for the first aid procedure and three for the questions asked. First aid is covered for a cut, shock, burns, choking, nosebleed, broken arm, hypothermia, scrape and abrasion, poisoning, rescue and transfer, asthma, and CPR. This 26-page, reproducible book includes teaching suggestions, instructions for simulating injuries, student score sheets, and first aid station information sheets (including answers to student questions).
