Designed to provide an interdisciplinary, multilearning approach to science teaching. The result is a dynamically interactive classroom learning experience with hands-on activities such as demonstrating convection and plate motion, analyzing the distribution of earthquakes and volcanoes, and investigating properties of the Earth’s crust. The core of this videolab is a set of action-oriented lab stations, with the full-motion videotape disc directly relating to the content of the lab stations. Video may be used before, during, or after the lab activities. Video lab includes the video Plate Tectonics: Puzzle of the Continents, materials for 12 hands-on lab stations, and a comprehensive teacher’s guide with reproducible blackline masters. Grades 7-12.
