Archimedes Principle Demonstrator
PRODUCT DETAILS
Demonstrate that a body submerged in water loses weight equal to its own volume of water. Consists of two aluminum pieces whose volumes are equal: a solid cylinder with a ring on one end, and a close-fitting bucket device is weighed and placed in water, where it suffers an apparent loss of weight due to water buoyancy. It is taken apart and reimmersed with the top cylinder hooked onto the bucket. An amount of water equivalent to the weight of the cylinder fills the bucket and can be weighed. Bucket cylinder is 5.5 cm L x 2 cm dia.; solid cylinder is 4.5 cm L x 1.5 cm dia.
