Flying Ball and Silver Snake

The flying ball is a lightweight metallized ball on the end of a thread. When it is first brought near the dome, it is attracted by induction until it touches the dome, then it is violently repelled and will “fly” around the dome without touching it. The silver snake is a metallized ribbon which is readily attracted to the dome by induction, and as soon as it touches, it is violently repelled. While the ball retains its charge and “floats” around the dome, the silver snake does not retain its charge and repeatedly strikes back at the dome.
