This balance is designed to demonstrate the principle of operation and mechanical advantage of levers. The fulcrum stand incorporates a cast iron base for stability. The weights are nickel plated brass hooked above and below so the weights can be hung in tandem. Consists of a 50 cm ruler; a knife-edge clamp to support the ruler; a fulcrum support stand; a 50 g and 100 g mass; and two knife-edge clamps to attach the masses to the lever.
