The apparatus consists of a magnet, a shaded pole, AC motor, an incandescent lamp, a bell, a rectifier, and switches all mounted on a durable, 18" x 18" x 3/4" solid oak board. It is designed to show how mechanical energy may be converted to electrical energy; reconverted to either mechanical (motor) or light and heat energy (incandescent lamp); or mechanical and sound energy (bell). A neon lamp is used to visually show the difference between alternating and direct current. Operating instructions are included.
