The materials in this set allow students to determine how the strength of an electromagnet is affected by the number of turns in the coil, and by the nature of the material that occupies the space inside the coil. The set includes three pairs of coils, 48 mm x 17 mm dia.; and 12 core cylinders, three each of glass, copper, aluminum, and iron. All core cylinders are 55 mm x 5 mm (2-1/8" x 3/16") dia.
