This economical set is ideal for teacher-directed activities constructing three-dimensional models of many chemical compounds. These models are easily assembled and disassembled. The resulting structures are color coded, and strongly suggest the real properties of the molecules depicted. Crude Styrofoam® spheres or wooden balls with springs or dowels are replaced with color-coded, molded plastic components.
