Students use samples of fresh water from nearby waterways. Controlled experiments are set up to observe and determine the effect (both qualitative and quantitative) on fresh water when phosphate and nitrate compounds are added. Over a period of ten days, students will be able to observe the blooming of algae and bacteria. This kit is ready for immediate use and includes easy-to-follow instructions. Can be self-paced and used by students in all grades. Complete for 30 students.
