Product Details
Students can individually make their own squashed, stained microscope slides of a root tip. These root tips have been specially grown, cut, and fixed at maximum mitotic activity, and pooled to ensure that each student can observe cells undergoing mitosis. Students not only observe the presence of chromosomes in cells and the stages of mitosis, but also gain experience in microtechnique and staining. Complete for 30 students.
