The Pro-Sect System
PRODUCT DETAILS
A Convenient way to teach or learn basic mammalian anatomy without dissection. The Pro-Sect System employs a preserved fetal pig that has been sagittally sectioned. Internal and external anatomy are visible through the clear plastic, fluid-filled, specially-molded display tray. A master transparent overlay identifies 15 major internal organs. An instructional guide provides information about these and other organs. After learning the location and function of the organs, test yourself by replacing the master overlay with a test overlay.

Can be used as an activity to stimulate interest in basic mammalian anatomy without the mess usually associated with laboratory dissections
Utilizes actual preserved animal material sealed in a plastic mold that can be safely handled and observed

Provides an effective alternative to the dissection of preserved specimens
Can be effectively used with a video camera to show large groups
Is economically priced compared to models and fragile bio-type mounts
Can be effectively used for testing
Supplements traditional dissections
Makes an attractive display for a resource center
