Using a controlled environment and a common air pollutant, learners observe the direct effect sulfur dioxide has on plants. Squash and marigold plants are germinated and then placed in an SO2-saturated environment, where growth is monitored and recorded. Kit includes a special glove bag to be used as an environmental chamber and all materials needed for demonstration. Instruction guide and reproducible worksheets are also included.
