Safe in any type container – this virtually indestructible, cast-aluminum case and element floats on the surface of water. Tough ABS top covers the unit which is filled with polyurethane for unsurpassed strength. The unit is sealed in electrical-grade thermal set epoxy and cannot leak or short out. The power supply cord drops from the bottom center of the unit, away from inquisitive biting animals. This fully automatic, thermostatically-controlled heating element floats on the surface of the water providing an open drinking area in outside tanks in zero degree weather. No danger of livestock burn. Maintains an ice-free circle at low temperatures. Cycles on at 33 degrees, off at 40 degrees. 1,250 watts. Measures 7" diameter x 3" high. 6-ft. cord has a steel coil cord guard. 120V. UL listed.
