A must for safe storage and purchase of baled hay. High moisture content may result in rapid bacterial growth and chemical oxidation which generates heat and, in some cases, fire. It may also result in deterioration, rot, and infestation. This tester is designed for ease of use; one-step push-button operation gives immediate and direct digital readout of moisture percentage or temperature. Fully calibrated - no adjustments necessary. Moisture range: 14%-45%; ±1% accuracy. Temperature range: 33°-250° - gives accurate readings within 60 seconds. Lightweight and completely portable, the unit operates on a “9V” alkaline battery (included). Detachable probe has a rigid handle for secure grip. Can be used for alfalfa. CSA approved.
