AMACO® Crystaltex Glaze Set #3

Product Description

For the potter who dares to try something novel. Multicolor effects can be subtle, or they can be bright and bold. These liquid glazes consist of a basic color with the addition of one or more crystals of contrasting colors. For application by dipping or pouring, thorough stirring of the glaze is necessary since the crystals settle to the bottom of the jar. A more controlled decorative effect is obtained by brushing: the brush is dipped in the glaze at the top of the jar and two or more coats applied. The crystals which will have settled to the bottom are lifted with the brush and placed where desired. Recommended applying onto Cone 04 fired bisque then fire to Cone 05 (1911° F), firing range of Cone 06 to Cone 05 (1855° - 1911° F). Includes one pint jar of the following colors: jet moss [1], snow fire [1], Mardi Gras* [1], royal turquoise* [1], milky way [1], firecracker [1], granada [1], snap dragon [1], peppermint ice [1], moon scape [1], sea mist* [4], and nutmeg* [1].
