Throughout history people have been making clay whistles and ocarinas (whistles with more than one note). With the introduction of polymer clay, you can now make whistles without having to fire them at the high temperatures needed for ceramic clay. Complex shapes can be built and baked in steps, and the fingering holes can be drilled out or changed after the whistle has been baked. Classroom pack contains everything necessary for 12 students to create clay whistles, including forty 2-oz. bars of Sculpey III® polymer clay and complete instructions. Middle and high school level.
