Pocket chart that looks like a large piece of notebook paper includes cards for the writing process. Each student has a pencil with their name on it. The pencils are moved to the different areas of the writing process so the teacher knows what stage they are on. Also includes cards for traits of writing (writing traits, ideas, organization, voice, sentence fluency, word choice, conventions, and presentation), the writing process (writing workshop, prewriting, rough draft, revising, editing, and publishing), and the different types of writing (types of writing, expository and what is it, narrative and what it is, and persuasive and what it is).
