Designed to strengthen reading skills across the curriculum, this set teaches strategies for gathering key information from nonfiction text and comprehending content-area vocabulary in context. Each Directed Method CD Card models a reading strategy in the context of science, social studies, or math topics. The corresponding Guided Method CD Card helps students apply the strategy to a new topic in the same content-area. Set features 6-10 strategies and key content-area topics that align with the standards for grades 3-5.
