Developed with the help of ELL teachers in diverse settings, the Reading Rods® Language Patterns and Vocabulary and Beginning Phonics Kit are great for students in mainstream classrooms, English language instruction within bilingual programs or any ELL program. Aligned with current scientific research on how children acquire English language skills, kit can be tailored to whole class, small group, or individual needs. Large, four-color, themed illustrations and photos in each lesson form the foundation to teach essential vocabulary. Lessons also encourage development of oral language, reading, and writing skills. This kit is appropriate for Title III and Title I funding, and is aligned with Put Reading First and No Child Left Behind. Includes 20 themed picture cards, 21 dialogue and activity cards, instruction and activity book, 233 Reading Rods® in a tub, and four plastic trays.
