Nasco Chemical Labels Provide You With "Right To Know" Information

DEFINITION OF GRADES
Reagent ACS -- Meets or surpasses latest American Chemical Society standards for purity.

Reagent -- Does not exceed maximum limits of significant impurities as stated. Does not have ultrastringent requirements of Reagent ACS.

Laboratory Grade -- Equivalent in purity to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and National Formulary (NF) listings. However, they are not offered for food, drug, or medicinal use of any kind.

Practical Grade -- Sufficiently high quality for use in many syntheses and other applications.

Technical Grade -- Selected commercial grades, scrupulously clean, and of reasonable chemical purity. Where usable, most economical grade and suitable for educational purposes.

Organic Chemicals -- Fall into reagent, practical, and technical grades, with specifications generally determined by melting or boiling point.

Biological Stains and Solutions -- We have greatly expanded our offerings of biological stains and ready-to-use staining solutions. Every effort has been made to include affordable and practical small package sizes. All dry stains are of certifiable quality. They are for use in the most exacting work in biology, cytology, etc.

Indicators -- As with biological stains, we have also expanded the indicators in our chemical list. Small, practical, and affordable package sizes are included. All indicators and indicator solutions are of the highest quality for laboratory use.

Due to the fact that packaging of chemicals changes frequently, quantities may vary from listing, depending on availability.

SOME PRODUCTS ARE SUBJECT TO AN ADDITIONAL $12.00 UPS HAZARDOUS MATERIAL SURCHARGE AND WILL APPEAR UNDER THE "Additional Information" COLUMN.

The chemicals listed are not sold for consumption, pharmaceutical, or medicinal purposes. They are sold only for research, commercial, and educational use under proper supervision. Only orders on school letterhead, purchase order forms, or WATS line phone orders with a school purchase order number will be accepted. Chemicals will be shipped only to the school address. Sorry, we cannot accept orders placed by individuals.

SHIPPING CONTAINERS AND COSTS
Nasco does not charge for cartons, labels, and other packaging materials. The listed price includes all handling and packaging charges that have been established and required by the DOT (Department of Transportation). Actual shipping charges will be added to your invoice.

HOW WE SHIP
Nasco urges that, to the extent possible, you try to anticipate your chemical needs and combine as many items as possible to reduce shipping charges. With few exceptions, we ship via United Parcel Service.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
We have identified all hazardous materials (corrosive, flammable, etc.) with a catalog number that has a KM prefix. All KM items will be shipped separately to you from our chemicals warehouse. While special DOT (Department of Transportation) packaging is required for many hazardous materials, most items can be shipped via United Parcel Service.

MINIMUM ORDER - KM ITEMS ONLY
A $3.50 service and handling charge will be added to all chemical orders for hazardous materials (KM prefix) when the total amount is less than $15.00 per delivery.
