Cats are obtained from Humane Societies after euthanasia. Embalming is done through the carotid artery, and several spot checks are made during the latex injections to ensure top-quality specimens. All specimens are preserved using Nasco-Guard® by our own technicians to ensure high quality specimens and safe handling. Specimens have been field-tested and are in demand by anatomy teachers nationwide. Muscle definition is superior to conventionally embalmed specimens. Nasco specimens contain less than. 0.2% residual formaldehyde.
Skinned cats save on lab time!
Skinning is done in Nasco's lab by trained technicians. All skin is removed, except for the paws, genitalia, and head.
