The principles in action are shown at a local park – an environment all students recognize. High repetition of vocabulary in different settings help cement new terminology and solid understanding. Energy is defined, potential vs. kinetic energy is discussed, as well as the seven forms of energy. Hands-on involves testing a hypothesis, measurement, and highlights potential and kinetic energy. Kit includes 16 each of: marbles, paper ramps, 16-oz. cups, 6-oz. foam cups, 3-oz. foam cups, paper rulers, 12" cotton string, and straws; one pendulum ball; 400 washers (1/2"); 55-minute DVD; teacher’s guide; and master copies of test, vocabulary, and activities.
